How tuition works at Ca' Foscari University of Venice

At Ca' Foscari University of Venice, tuition follows family income, measured by the ISEE, and an ISEE up to €25,000 falls in the no-tax area. Most non-EU students, including students from India, pay a flat fee by citizenship instead, and study can be tuition-free for eligible students who win a DSU scholarship.

Non-EU citizens from OECD countries pay a higher flat fee. Digital Management and Hospitality Innovation and e-Tourism have no flat fee and set their own contribution, unless the student has an ISEE of €30,000 or less and meets the national merit rules (Student Act), or wins the DSU scholarship (maximum contribution page).

Source: Tasse e contributi a.a. 2026/2027 and the fees page for non-EU students.

Non-EU citizens pay the flat fee unless they have had an Italian tax domicile for at least two years, are family members of Italian or EU citizens, or are long-term residents. There is no ISEE parificato route for the fee, and the tax domicile declaration is due by 18 December 2026. Source: Ca' Foscari, fees for non-EU students.

Worked example: A first-year bachelor's student from India pays the flat fee for their country, which already includes the regional tax. A family ISEE parificato does not change this fee, but the DSU scholarship uses it. We prepare the documents with you, file them with the university and prepare the Ca' Foscari DSU scholarship application with you at the same time.

Reality check

  • Places for visa applicants are set per course. For 2026/27, Economics and Business had 50 and Business Administration and Management 70, with 14 of each reserved for Chinese citizens.
  • Rounds depend on citizenship. Visa applicants apply in rounds on apply.unive.it, and the 2026/27 rounds are now closed; the 2027/28 dates are not out yet.
  • Documents decide the scholarship, not the fee. Students from India pay the flat fee for their country whatever their income, except in Digital Management and Hospitality Innovation and e-Tourism, but the DSU scholarship needs an ISEE parificato from the university's partner CAF.
  • Italian still matters. Daily life, internships and Italian-taught courses need it; Italian-taught degrees ask for B2 on Ca' Foscari's own test.

What we handle: the shortlist, the fee route, the income documents, the programme applications, the Universitaly pre-enrolment, the visa file and the DSU application, prepared with you. The university decides admission, its DSU service decides the DSU scholarship and the consulate decides the visa.

How does ApplyAZ handle applications to Ca' Foscari University of Venice?

For eligible students, we take care of the whole application to Ca' Foscari University of Venice. We shortlist programmes against your profile and their entry tests, prepare the documents and the family's income papers, file each programme application, complete Universitaly pre-enrolment, handle the visa file and prepare the DSU scholarship application (Ca' Foscari DSU) with you.

Decisions remain with the relevant authorities: the university decides admission, its DSU service decides the DSU scholarship and the consulate decides the visa.
