Ca' Foscari's International Management master has limited places. You need a bachelor's degree of at least three years in business or economics, or one with at least 60 credits in business, economics, law and maths or statistics, a pass in an online entry test, a positive academic assessment and English at B2. Degree and credit requirements
You need a bachelor's degree of at least three years (180 ECTS or equivalent) from an accredited institution, which gives access to further study in its own country. [3][5]
Graduates in business administration or economics (Italian classes L-18 or L-33, or an equivalent degree) meet the curricular requirements. Graduates in other fields need at least 60 credits: [2][4]
- At least 20 in business: sectors SECS-P/07 to SECS-P/11, including at least one business economics exam (SECS-P/07).
- At least 40 across three areas, with at least one exam in each: economics (SECS-P/01 to 06 and SECS-P/12), law (IUS/01, 04, 05, 07, 09, 10, 12, 13 and 14) and mathematics or statistics (MAT/02, 03, 05, 06, 08 and 09, and SECS-S/01, 03 and 06).
Missing credits must be made up before enrolment through single bachelor's-level courses. Ca' Foscari's international admissions page also sets a minimum CGPA of 70% in its provisional rules for 2027/28. [3][4]
What this means for your transcript
Italian CFU and foreign credits are not always the same unit, and the Teaching Committee looks at the subjects on your transcript, not just your total. As a guide, based on the rule above:
- Usually a fit: a B.Com, BBA or BBM, or a B.A. or B.Sc. in Economics, that includes business, law and maths or statistics courses.
- Check carefully: a B.Sc. in Mathematics, a B.A. in a social science or a B.Tech in Industrial Engineering, which may cover maths or economics but fall short on the 20 business credits.
- Often short: degrees in the fields that the provisional 2027/28 rules reject automatically unless further university study meets the credit rule: anthropology, area studies, education, biology, chemistry, geology, physics, all engineering except industrial engineering, dental surgery, nursing, pharmacy, film and TV, fine arts, journalism, language and literature, philology, translation and interpreting, information and communication technologies, statistics, international relations, law, mass communication, psychology, public relations, social work and sociology. English at CEFR level B2 or higher is mandatory for enrolment, shown with a recognised certificate or through one of Ca' Foscari's exemption categories. You can apply without a certificate, but you must provide one to complete enrolment. Ca' Foscari runs no English test of its own, and the entry test does not count as proof of English. [2][3]

Entry test
Non-EU applicants who need a visa must pass an online entry test in English, run by the provider Selexi, on the single date set for the round in which they applied. Missing the date means the application is rejected. [1]
- General part: 30 questions in 30 minutes on accounting and management control, business management, marketing and strategy, finance, organisation and human resources, and banking and financial markets. [1]
- Programme part: 20 questions in 20 minutes. In the 2026/27 call for applicants resident in Italy, this part covered cost analysis and management control, and business management and strategy. [1][2]
- Scoring: 1 point for a correct answer, minus 0.25 for a wrong one and 0 for no answer. You pass with at least 10 out of 50. [1]
If you apply for two of the management master's degrees in this call, you take both programme parts. Ca' Foscari publishes a sample test, and results come out within three weeks of the test. [1]
Assessment after the test
If you pass the test, the International Office checks your qualification, which can take up to two weeks, and the programme's Teaching Committee checks your academic background and personal preparation against the curricular requirements. Only applicants who pass both checks receive a letter of enrolment eligibility. [1]

For 2026/27, Ca' Foscari reserved 15 places for non-EU applicants living abroad, 1 of them for a Chinese citizen under the Marco Polo project. These were in addition to the 55 places for Italian, EU and non-EU applicants resident in Italy. [2]

You apply on Ca' Foscari's online application platform, and one application covers up to two programmes. You upload your passport, a transcript of records for all years of your bachelor's, or a provisional transcript if you are in your final year, with official translations into English or Italian where needed, plus your CV and motivation letter. About the programme
International Management is a two-year master's degree in class LM-77-R (Management), taught entirely in English by the Venice School of Management at Ca' Foscari's San Giobbe Economics Campus. It carries 120 ECTS, has a limited number of places, and attendance is not compulsory.
The degree trains managers for private and public organisations of every size, from small businesses to multinationals, in a global setting shaped by uncertainty and international competition. Students gain strategic planning and decision-making tools at corporate, business and functional level, in multicultural classes with many international students.
