You need a bachelor's degree. A foreign qualification must come from a course of at least three years, and the Teaching Committee assesses your academic background. [1] The admissions portal asks for a minimum CGPA of 75%; grades without a numerical scale are converted proportionally to a percentage. [2]
The credits you need depend on your first degree: [1][2]
- Cultural heritage, visual arts, music, performing arts or fashion studies (Italian classes L-1 or L-3 or equivalent): at least 12 ECTS in economics, economic policy, public economics, business administration, management, organisation studies, statistics or mathematical methods for economics.
- Business administration or economics (L-18 or L-33 or equivalent): at least 12 ECTS in art history, covering medieval, modern or contemporary art, museology and restoration, performing arts, cinema, photography and television, musicology or ethnomusicology.
- Any other degree: at least 42 ECTS, with at least 12 in the economics and management group, 12 in the art history group and 12 in a third group that includes landscape architecture, architectural history, informatics, public, administrative or international law, Roman history, Italian literature, archaeology, Asian and Islamic art history, anthropology, aesthetics, geography, history and sociology.
If you miss these credits, you must make them up before enrolment by taking single bachelor's level courses at Ca' Foscari or another university. [1]
