How tuition works at the University of Verona
Tuition at the University of Verona follows family income (ISEE). Students with a study visa can request a flat rate by World Bank class instead, and study can be tuition-free for eligible students who win a DSU scholarship.
Tuition follows family income (ISEE). Families with income abroad can file an ISEE or request the flat fee for their country, and DSU scholarship winners are exempt from tuition. An ISEE up to €27,000 falls in the no-tax area.
Students who file neither a reduction request nor a flat-rate request pay the maximum for their group. A student who files both an ISEE parificato and the flat-rate request pays whichever is lower, the university's flat-rate page says.
Source: Regolamento in materia di contribuzione studentesca a.a. 2026/2027 and the university's World Bank country list (India: lower middle income). Rupees on this page use the FBIL reference rate of 21 September 2026.
International students with a study visa or residence permit for study can request a differentiated flat rate by their country's World Bank class, all-inclusive, instead of an ISEE. India is lower middle income on the university's list, so it falls in the lower flat-rate group, requested by 16 November 2026, 13:00. Source: University of Verona, flat-rate request page.
Worked example: With a family ISEE parificato of €15,000, a first-year master's student from India is in the no-tax area, so the university contribution is waived. Without an ISEE, the all-inclusive flat rate for India applies if requested by 16 November 2026. We prepare the ISEE parificato documents with you for one of the university's CAFs, prepare the flat-rate request with you, and prepare the DSU application with you under the University of Verona DSU call 2026/27, which you submit online from your own account.

|---|
| TOLC by CISIA (TOLC-E, TOLC-B, TOLC-SU, TOLC-SPS, TOLC-PSI, TOLC-F) | Italian-taught bachelor's with national limited places, for example Economia e commercio (TOLC-E, 300 places) and Biotecnologie (TOLC-B, 140); some open-access bachelor's ask for a TOLC that does not decide admission | Iscrizioni 2026/27 (access routes) |
| Pre-admission evaluation | English-taught master's in the international call: CV, grades, motivation and, by programme, an online interview, with at least 60 out of 100 to pass, or 70 for Mathematics (a route, not an entry test) | International master's call 2026/27 |
| CISIA ITA-L2 test | Italian for Italian-taught degrees; not needed for English-taught master's | International degree-seeking students page |
| Open semester (semestre filtro) | Italian-taught Medicine and Surgery, Medicine with a technology track, and Dentistry (a route, not an entry test) | Iscrizioni 2026/27 (access routes) |

|---|
| Master's (international call, for example Data Science) | Pre-admission evaluation of CV, grades and, by programme, an interview, with at least 60 out of 100 (70 for Mathematics). Data Science asks for a bachelor's in a listed class, such as L-31 or L-41, or 60 credits in mathematics, computer science, physics, engineering or economics and statistics | B2 certificate on the university's list, or a degree taught in English | Passport, bachelor's degree or enrolment certificate, transcript in English with grades and credits, CV in English, motivation letter where required and the language certificate, by 31 March 2026 | Official translation and legalisation of the degree and the Declaration of Value, or CIMEA statements instead; Universitaly pre-enrolment and the visa request by 30 June 2026 |
| Master's (Biology for Translational Research and Precision Medicine, limited places) | No test: CV (up to 40 points) and grade average (10), then an online interview (50) for the top 20; 5 places for non-EU citizens living abroad | B2 (CEFR) certificate, or a previous qualification taught in English | Online application, 29 January to 31 March 2026, 15:00 | Universitaly pre-enrolment and the visa request within 15 days of the ranking list |

What does it cost to live in Verona?
For the study visa, the consulate asks you to show at least €10,179.85 (₹11.2 lakh) a year for living costs in Verona or any other Italian city. That is a floor, not a full budget: rent is the biggest cost, and a DSU residence place is much cheaper than a private room.
| Cost | Amount | Source |
|---|
| Visa minimum for living costs | €10,179.85 a year (about ₹11.2 lakh) | Kolkata consulate checklist, item 6 |

Reality check
- Places and awards are limited. For 2026/27, Biology for Translational Research and Precision Medicine had 5 places for non-EU citizens living abroad, and each programme in the international call had one or two scholarships.
- Deadlines come early. The 2026/27 international master's call closed on 31 March 2026, and non-EU applicants had until 30 June 2026 to pre-enrol on Universitaly and request the visa.
- Documents decide the fee and the grant. For 2026/27, a family from India needed an ISEE parificato from one of the university's CAFs for the DSU grant, and that window closed on 30 September 2026 at 13:00 Italian time, and the flat-rate request closes on 16 November 2026.
- Italian still matters. English-taught master's need no Italian test, but Italian-taught degrees need the CISIA ITA-L2 test, and daily life in Verona needs Italian.
What we handle: the shortlist, the fee route, the income documents, the programme applications, the Universitaly pre-enrolment, the visa file and the DSU application, prepared with you and submitted from your own account. The university decides admission, the university's right-to-study office decides the DSU scholarship and the consulate decides the visa.

We work only with Italian public universities, and we do not promise outcomes: the university decides admission, the university's right-to-study office decides the DSU scholarship and the consulate decides the visa.
