The 2027/28 calls are not out yet, so each programme page adds its deadline when the call is published, and we track every call on your shortlist.
How much does Politecnico di Milano cost in 2026/27?
Politecnico di Milano costs from €157.04 (₹17,000) a year for ISEE holders in the no-tax area to €3,943.04 (₹4.3 lakh) at the top band in 2026/27. Non-EU master's students with a foreign bachelor's pay the full amount without a scholarship, and study can be tuition-free for eligible students who win a DSU scholarship.
| Who pays what, 2026/27 | Yearly total | How it is set |
|---|
| ISEE up to €22,000 (full exemption) | €157.04 (₹17,000) | Contribution €0; only €130 regional tax, €16 stamp duty and €11.04 insurance. From the second year, also within the normal length plus one year, with 10 CFU by 10 August (25 CFU in later years). Not available with an ISEEU parificato |
| ISEE €22,001 to €30,000 (partial exemption) | By formula | A reduced contribution set by the formulas in Table 4.2, plus the fixed charges; not available with an ISEEU parificato |
| Fascia 1, ISEEU parificato up to €23,120, or an ISEE holder without the exemption | €880.04 (₹97,000) | €723 contribution plus €130 regional tax, €16 stamp duty and €11.04 insurance; the band an ISEEU parificato of €15,000 falls in, since the parificato gives no exemption |
| Fascia 4, ISEE €31,001 to €40,000 (a middle band) | €1,975.04 (₹2.2 lakh) | €1,788 contribution plus €160 regional tax, €16 and €11.04 (derived) |
| Full amount, ISEE above €95,000 or no ISEE | €3,943.04 (₹4.3 lakh) | €3,726 contribution plus €190 regional tax, €16 and €11.04, for a study plan of 46 to 74 CFU |
| Non-EU master's students with a foreign bachelor's, admitted with no economic benefit | €3,943.04 (₹4.3 lakh) | The full contribution (Art. 8.4), unless the student holds a scholarship from Polimi or another institution or gets a later exemption |
The amounts are for a study plan of 46 to 74 CFU: plans of up to 32 CFU pay 50%, 33 to 45 CFU pay 75% and 75 to 80 CFU pay 130%. The ISEEU parificato for income abroad counts only from the CAFs Polimi names, and it gives no full or partial exemption (Article 8.7).
Source: Regolamento in materia di contribuzione studentesca 2026/27 and the fees page (Polimi has no flat fee for non-EU students). Rupees use the FBIL reference rate of 21 September 2026, €1 = ₹109.90.
Students with income or assets abroad can have the contribution graduated with an ISEEU parificato, which Polimi and its DSU call (article 3.2) accept only from its partner tax assistance centre (CAF). Non-EU master's students with a foreign bachelor's pay the full amount unless they hold a scholarship from Polimi or another institution. Source: Polimi fee regulation 2026/27 (Article 8) and DSU call 2026/27 (article 3.2).
Worked example: With an ISEEU parificato of €15,000 from Polimi's partner CAF, a first-year bachelor's student from India pays €880.04 (₹97,000) in Fascia 1. The parificato gives no exemption, and without it the full €3,943.04 (₹4.3 lakh) applies, so filing it is the cheaper route. We prepare the documents for Polimi's partner CAF with you and prepare Polimi's DSU scholarship application with you, since the student submits it from their own Online Services area.

Reality check
- Master's calls close early. For 2026/27, the engineering master's calls for applicants with a foreign degree closed on 1 December 2025 and 26 February 2026.
- Selection is competitive. Polimi sets a minimum grade by country, 70 out of 100 for an Indian bachelor's of at least four years (a three-year BSc only if Honours), and engineering bachelor's need at least 30 out of 100 on the TOL.
- Documents decide the fee. An ISEEU parificato counts only from Polimi's partner CAF, and non-EU master's students with a foreign degree pay the full €3,943.04 (₹4.3 lakh) without a scholarship.
- Italian still matters. International students on English-taught master's take an Italian test during their studies, and Italian-taught bachelor's ask for B2.
What we handle: the shortlist, the fee route, the income documents, the programme applications, the Universitaly pre-enrolment, the visa file and the DSU application, prepared with you.
