About the programme

Music and Acoustic Engineering is a two-year master's degree (laurea magistrale) in class LM-32, computer systems engineering, worth 120 ECTS and run by the School of Industrial and Information Engineering. The School lists the 2026/27 edition at the Cremona campus; the university's general master's list names Milano Leonardo and Cremona. Teaching is in English.

What you will study

There are two pre-approved study plans. Acoustic Engineering focuses on the vibratory, acoustic and timbral behaviour of musical instruments, the acoustics of listening spaces and computational acoustics. How the programme is taught

The first year is largely common to both tracks and the second year is specific to the chosen one. Both tracks include a Music and Acoustic Engineering Capstone and end with the final examination. The core units are in English; some optional units, including computer engineering basics and humanities subjects on music history, are taught in Italian.

Check the campus before you apply: the School lists the 2026/27 edition in Cremona. Your bachelor's should be closely related to the degree's subjects, since the Politecnico checks this fit for every foreign degree.

Foreign graduates apply through the international admissions route. The foreign-qualification requirements ask for a degree giving access to EQF level 7, the grade minimum for your country and English proof.
