How tuition works at the University of Milano-Bicocca

At the University of Milano-Bicocca, Italian ISEE holders pay by family income and course area, and an ISEE up to €30,000 with merit status falls in the no-tax area. Families abroad pay a fixed contribution by country group instead, and study can be tuition-free for eligible students who win a DSU scholarship.

Students outside the country-group rule who file no valid ISEE pay the maximum for their area. The first instalment is due by 30 September 2026, and the rest by 15 January and 14 May 2027; the Group 1 contribution is paid in full in the second instalment.

Which entry tests and language levels does the University of Milano-Bicocca ask for?

The University of Milano-Bicocca uses CISIA's TOLC tests for Italian-taught bachelor's degrees, the CEnT-S or English TOLC-E for its English-taught bachelor's in sustainability and the IMAT for Medicine in English. English: B2, set programme by programme: English-taught Medicine asks non-native speakers for a B2 certificate, and the sustainability bachelor's for B2 by 31 July 2026. Data Science accepts a B2 certificate from the last five years, 5 credits of university English at B2 or a bachelor's taught in English. Source.

What does it cost to live in Milan?

For the study visa, the consulate asks you to show at least €10,179.85 (₹11.2 lakh) a year for living costs in Milan or any other Italian city. That is a floor, not a full budget: rent is the biggest cost, and a DSU residence place is much cheaper than a private room.
