ADISU Puglia Scholarship 2026/27: Amounts, Deadlines and Documents

Who can apply to ADISU Puglia from countries like India?

Students from countries like India can apply if they enrol in 2026/27 at an institution the bando (official call) covers, such as the University of Bari Aldo Moro, and the family ISEE (the Italian family income indicator) is 26,000.00 EUR or less and the ISPE (the family assets indicator) 56,000.00 EUR or less (art. 9 c. 2).

A family that neither lives nor earns income in Italy makes the student fuori sede (living away from home), provided the student lives at the course seat for at least 10 months between 1 Oct 2026 and 30 Sep 2027 (art. 8 c. 1). Enrolment is not needed before applying (art. 24 c. 1).

Students who already hold a degree of the same level, or who receive another grant for the same year, are not eligible (art. 3 c. 3).

How much is the ADISU Puglia grant in 2026/27?

The base grant is 7,172.00 EUR a year (about INR 7,89,000) for a fuori sede student, 4,191.00 EUR for a pendolare (commuter) and 2,891.00 EUR for an in sede (living at home) student (art. 17 c. 2). It rises 15% when ISEE is 13,000 EUR or less and falls 20% above 17,333.33 EUR (art. 17 c. 3 to 4).

• Services are deducted: 2,208.00 EUR a year when ADISU provides a residence bed, 900.00 EUR for one daily canteen meal and another 900.00 EUR for a second (art. 17 c. 5). These values are never paid out in cash.
• Female students on STEM degrees get 20% instead of 15%, and a recognised disability adds 25% (art. 17 c. 4).
• The call prints no amount after the increase. By our arithmetic, a fuori sede student with ISEE up to 13,000 EUR gets 8,247.80 EUR before deductions (Bando 2026/27, art. 17).

Which documents does the family need from abroad for ADISU Puglia?

The family needs certificates from a competent public authority at home covering household composition, 2025 work and income, property in square metres, any mortgage and all bank holdings at 31 Dec 2025, translated into Italian and legalised or apostilled (art. 10 c. 1). An ISEE parificato (the income statement for families outside Italy) does not replace them.

Affidavits are generally not accepted, and a missing item, even the certificate stating that the family holds no bank assets, means exclusion (art. 10 c. 1; art. 4 lett. s). The full list, in the call's order, is in the documents section below.

When are the ADISU Puglia deadlines for 2026/27?

Applications ran online from 08:00 on 14 Jul 2026 to 12:00 on 13 Aug 2026 (art. 24 c. 1), and the family certificates and their originals were due by the same deadline (art. 25 c. 2). Provisional rankings came out on 3 Sep 2026 and definitive rankings were due on 24 Sep 2026 (art. 27 c. 2).

• 1 Oct to 15 Oct 2026: the "Conferma iscrizione matricole" (enrolment confirmation) for the first instalment; by 30 Nov 2026 for the second, or for the Master's 50% (art. 28 c. 1).
• 1 Nov to 20 Nov 2026: registered lease upload for fuori sede students without an ADISU bed (art. 8 c. 2; art. 25 c. 2 lett. c).
• 30 Apr 2027: last date to communicate enrolment (art. 24 c. 3).
• 10 Aug and 30 Nov 2027: credit deadlines; 28 Feb 2028: last date to report the credits and to give a valid IBAN (art. 12 c. 1; art. 28 c. 1 and 5).

How and when is the ADISU Puglia grant paid?

Bachelor and single-cycle first-years receive 20% by 10 Nov 2026 and 30% by 31 Dec 2026, provided the enrolment confirmation is filed by 15 Oct and 30 Nov 2026; the remaining 50% follows the credit requirement (art. 28 c. 1). Master's first-years receive 50% by 31 Dec 2026 and 50% after credits.

Money goes only to a current account in the student's name or joint name, given in the application; postal savings books and prepaid cards are not accepted (art. 28 c. 5). Payments go to winners as funds allow, and are suspended while checks or document requests are open (art. 28 c. 6).

How many credits do you need to keep the ADISU Puglia grant?

First-years need 20 CFU (university credits) from their study plan by 10 Aug 2027 to keep the full grant; reaching 20 only by 30 Nov 2027 keeps half the cash (art. 12 c. 1). The credits must be reported online by 28 Feb 2028 (art. 28 c. 1).

Master's first-years count only credits earned during the grant year. Students with a disability need 12 CFU (art. 14 c. 3) and part-time students 10 CFU (art. 15 c. 2), and bonus credits cannot be used in the first year (art. 12 c. 6). More on credits to keep your grant.

What happens if you miss the credits in Puglia?

Without 20 CFU by 30 Nov 2027, or without reporting them online by 28 Feb 2028, the grant is revoked: the student repays all the cash received plus the value of the bed and meals used, and the regional tax is not refunded (art. 4 lett. l to m; art. 6; art. 28 c. 1).

Reaching 20 CFU between 11 Aug and 30 Nov 2027 halves the grant, so the final 50% instalment is not paid (art. 17 c. 3). We track exams and credit registration with eligible students through the year so these dates are not missed.

Can you get an ADISU Puglia residence bed?

Yes, first-years from abroad can request a bed in the same application, and 25% of places go to first-years (art. 21). Residences are in Bari, Foggia, Lecce and Taranto. A bed costs 2,208.00 EUR a year, deducted from the grant, plus a 130.00 EUR deposit (art. 17 c. 5; art. 21 c. 6).

Within 5 days of the rankings the assignee pays the deposit and sends a medical certificate, and must take the bed on the convocation day or lose it and become pendolare (art. 21 c. 6). Eligible students who get no cash for lack of funds still receive canteen and housing at no cost (art. 27 c. 3).

Without an ADISU bed, a fuori sede student needs a registered lease in their own name in the course-seat municipality, covering at least 10 months and uploaded between 1 and 20 Nov 2026; until then the student is treated as pendolare (art. 8 c. 2).

Documents from abroad for the ADISU Puglia 2026/27 call

A family living abroad declares its 2025 income and assets and backs them with public-authority certificates, translated into Italian and legalised or apostilled. Scans were due by 12:00 on 13 Aug 2026 and the originals had to reach the ADISU local office by the same deadline (art. 10 c. 1; art. 25 c. 2 lett. b).

• Declared in the online form: total 2025 income abroad, assets at 31 Dec 2025, the number of household members and whether each member holds bank or financial assets (art. 10 c. 1 n. 1 to 4).
• Household composition, with special-case papers such as a divorce deed, death certificate or guardian deed where relevant (art. 10 c. 1).
• Work activity of each household member in 2025, including adult siblings, or their unemployment status and any benefit (art. 10 c. 1).
• Period worked by each member in 2025, more or less than six months (art. 10 c. 1).
• 2025 income of each member aged 18 or over, or of the household as a whole (art. 10 c. 1).
• Square metres of the family home and of any other buildings owned, or a certificate that no member owns property; buildings count at 500.00 EUR per square metre (art. 10 c. 1).
• Mortgage still owed at 31 Dec 2025 (art. 10 c. 1).
• Bank balances and all other financial assets of each member at 31 Dec 2025, or a certificate stating there are none (art. 10 c. 1).
• Disability certificate, only if declared, converted by an Italian local health authority (ASL) (art. 10 c. 1).
• Copy of a valid identity document (art. 25 c. 2 lett. a).
• Rules for every certificate: issued by a competent public authority, as affidavits are generally not enough; translated into Italian; legalised or apostilled (art. 10 c. 1).
• Where they go: scans to the "redditi esteri" (foreign income) box of the ADISU student portal; originals to the ADISU local office in person or by raccomandata A/R (registered post with return receipt), where the postmark counts. Originals are not returned, and missing originals mean exclusion (art. 10 c. 1; art. 25 c. 2 lett. b).

Frequently asked questions about ADISU Puglia

I already have a Bachelor's degree. Can I get ADISU Puglia for another Bachelor's?

No. Students who already hold a university qualification of the same level are not eligible (art. 3 c. 3). The call does not say how a degree earned abroad is treated, so for students with a foreign degree we clarify the case with ADISU and the university before anything is filed.

Do ADISU Puglia winners pay university fees?

Winners and eligible students are exempt from, or refunded, university fees under their university's own rules, so study can be tuition-free for eligible students (art. 23 c. 3). The regional DSU tax paid at enrolment is refunded too; first-years get it within 90 days of the notice that their credit requirement was met (art. 23 c. 2 to 3).

Can I combine ADISU Puglia with another scholarship for the same year?

No. Students who receive grants in cash or services for the same year from other public or private bodies, or from another DSU agency, are not eligible, and discovering this later leads to revocation and repayment (art. 3 c. 3; art. 4 lett. p to q; art. 6). Changes must be reported in writing within one month (art. 30).

I am starting a Master's in Puglia. Is my payment schedule different?

Yes. Master's first-years receive 50% by 31 Dec 2026, provided the enrolment confirmation is filed by 30 Nov 2026, and the other 50% once 20 CFU earned during the grant year are reached and reported (art. 28 c. 1; art. 12 c. 1). Credits validated from the first degree do not count.

Which bank account can receive the ADISU Puglia grant?

Only a current account in the student's name, alone or joint, or another electronic payment instrument in their name; postal savings books and prepaid cards are excluded. The IBAN goes in the application, and without a valid IBAN by 28 Feb 2028 all benefits are lost (art. 28 c. 5). We help eligible students set up the account.

What does the particularly poor countries list mean for ADISU Puglia?

Students from the countries listed in art. 10 c. 2, taken from D.M. 176 of 24 Feb 2026, follow a separate route based on a certificate from the Italian representation instead of the full family file. India is not on the list, so students from countries like India follow the ordinary document route in art. 10 c. 1.
