How much does the Polytechnic University of Bari cost in 2025/26?

The Polytechnic University of Bari costs from €160 (₹18,000) a year in the no-tax area to €2,329 (₹2.6 lakh) at the top band in 2025/26. The yearly contribution depends on family income, measured by the ISEE, and study can be tuition-free for eligible students who win a DSU scholarship.

Who pays what, 2025/26Yearly totalHow it is set
ISEE up to €26,000 (no-tax area)€160 (₹18,000)Contribution €0 for first-years, and in later years for students in course with the required credits; only the €144 ADISU regional tax and the €16 stamp duty (derived)
ISEE €26,000.01 to €29,881By formula14% of the ISEE above €26,000, plus 1%, then €16 and the €168 regional tax. Example (derived): an ISEE of €28,000 pays €466.80 (₹51,000)

Top band: ISEE of €90,000 or more, no ISEE or an ordinary ISEE€2,329 (₹2.6 lakh)€2,121 maximum contribution plus €16 and the €192 regional tax (derived); the same cap for every course

ADISU Puglia scholarship winners and eligible studentsNo contributionTotal exemption from tuition and fees, for winners and for eligible students left without a grant

Students who miss either requirement, enrolment within the normal length plus one year or the credits, pay the formula result plus 6% and €200, capped at a €3,000 (₹3.3 lakh) contribution. Without an ISEE, which the Politecnico collected from INPS up to 31 December 2025, the maximum applies, and a false declaration costs a €500 (₹55,000) penalty. ADISU Puglia has set its 2026/27 regional tax at €146, €170 and €195 (₹16,000, ₹19,000 and ₹21,000), €2 to €3 above the 2025/26 figures in the table.

Non-EU students without Italian residence whose family income is earned abroad file declarations of the family's income, assets and household from the foreign country's diplomatic or consular authority, translated and legalised, and are then assigned a band. There is no flat fee by country, and without an ISEE or these documents the maximum contribution applies. Source: Poliba, fee regulation 2025/26 (students with income abroad).

Worked example: If the consular documents put a first-year student's family in India at an income indicator of €15,000, the student falls in the no-tax band and pays €160 (₹18,000) under the 2025/26 rules (derived). Without an ISEE or those documents, the maximum applies: €2,329 (₹2.6 lakh). We prepare the consular documents with you and file them with the university, and we prepare the ADISU Puglia scholarship application with you, which you submit from your own ADISU account.

What does it cost to live in Bari?

For the study visa, the consulate asks you to show at least €10,179.85 (₹11.2 lakh) a year for living costs in Bari or any other Italian city. That is a floor, not a full budget: rent is the biggest cost, and a DSU residence place is much cheaper than a private room.

Reality check

  • Non-EU places are few. For 2026/27, Management Engineering for Innovation reserves 3 places for non-EU applicants living abroad, and Electronics, Automation and Robotics, and Telecommunications Engineering 5 each, while Mechanical Engineering has 35.
  • The 2026/27 fee rules are not out. The latest regulation, for 2025/26, has a no-tax area up to an ISEE of €26,000 and a maximum of €2,329 (₹2.6 lakh) a year.
  • Documents decide the fee. Without an ISEE or the family's legalised consular declarations of income and assets, the Politecnico charges the maximum contribution.
  • Italian still matters. Visa applicants to Italian-taught degrees must pass the Politecnico's Italian language test, and daily life and internships in Bari need Italian too.

What we handle: the shortlist, the fee route, the income documents, the programme applications, the Universitaly pre-enrolment, the visa file and the ADISU Puglia application and family certificates, prepared with you for you to submit from your own ADISU account. The university decides admission, ADISU Puglia decides the DSU scholarship and the consulate decides the visa.

How does ApplyAZ handle applications to the Polytechnic University of Bari?

For eligible students, we take care of the whole application to the Polytechnic University of Bari. We shortlist programmes against your profile and their entry tests, prepare the documents and the family's income papers, file each programme application, complete Universitaly pre-enrolment, handle the visa file and prepare the ADISU Puglia application that you submit from your own account.

We work only with Italian public universities, and we do not promise outcomes: the university decides admission, ADISU Puglia decides the DSU scholarship and the consulate decides the visa.

How does ApplyAZ help with a Polytechnic University of Bari application?

For eligible students, we take care of everything: the shortlist, the TOLC-I or CEnT registration, each Esse3 application, Universitaly pre-enrolment, the visa file and the ADISU Puglia family certificates, for the application you submit from your own account. The university decides admission, ADISU Puglia the scholarship and the consulate the visa. Start by checking your eligibility at go.applyaz.com.
