ADSU Chieti-Pescara Scholarship 2026/27: Amounts, Deadlines and Documents

Who can apply for ADSU Chieti-Pescara from countries like India?

Under the 2026/27 bando (official call), non-EU students can apply if the family ISEE (the Italian family income indicator) is within 24,335.11 EUR and the ISPE (the family assets indicator) within 52,902.43 EUR (Bando 2026/27, art. 6). A family with income and assets only abroad sends original documents instead of an Italian ISEE (art. 7).

India is not on the particularly poor countries list in Appendix 1 of the call, taken from Ministerial Decree 176 of 24 February 2026, so families in countries like India follow the full document route (art. 7). A student who already holds a degree of the same or a higher level than the course applied for is excluded (art. 2.2).

A student whose family lives abroad counts as fuori sede (living away from home) only with a registered paid lease in the student's own name; without it, the student is in sede (living at home) and receives a much smaller grant (art. 16.1).

How much is the ADSU Chieti-Pescara grant?

A fuori sede student with a family ISEE up to 16,223.40 EUR receives 7,171.11 EUR a year (about INR 7,89,000): 5,135.44 EUR in cash, which includes a 1,747.39 EUR housing share, plus two meals a day valued at 2,035.67 EUR (Bando 2026/27, art. 19). The meal share is never paid in cash.

• Fuori sede, by ISEE band: 5,135.44 EUR cash up to 16,223.40 EUR; 4,288.43 EUR up to 20,279.18 EUR; 3,441.42 EUR up to 24,335.11 EUR; always plus two meals a day (art. 19).
• Pendolare (commuter): 4,190.71 EUR in the first band (3,172.88 EUR cash plus one meal a day valued at 1,017.83 EUR), then 2,379.66 EUR and 1,586.44 EUR cash plus one meal a day (art. 19).
• In sede: 2,890.16 EUR, 2,167.62 EUR or 1,445.08 EUR cash, plus one meal a day (art. 19).

A student housed at no cost in an ADSU residence does not receive the 1,747.39 EUR housing share (art. 19). Increases of 15% for a low ISEE, 20% for women on STEM courses or for double enrolment, or 40% for disability apply to the cash share only and do not add up (art. 19, art. 22).

Which documents does the family need from abroad for ADSU Chieti-Pescara?

The family sends original documents issued by the home-country authorities: family composition, each member's 2025 gross income, property with floor area and financial assets at 31 December 2025, and any rent paid (art. 7). They must be legalised or apostilled, carry an Italian translation, and reach ADSU in Chieti by 13 November 2026.

There is no CAF (tax assistance centre) or ISEE parificato (the income statement for families outside Italy) route in this call. ADSU assesses the original documents itself, converting foreign income at the 2025 average exchange rate and valuing buildings at 500 EUR per square metre (art. 7). When are the ADSU Chieti-Pescara deadlines for 2026/27?

Online applications had to be confirmed by 12:00 (Italian time) on 1 September 2026 (Bando 2026/27, art. 4). Original family documents are due by 13 November 2026, or 1 September 2026 for bed applicants (art. 7). The provisional ranking is due by 31 October 2026 and the final ranking by 31 December 2026 (arts. 17, 18).

• 13 November 2026: registered lease uploaded (art. 5), and the last day for review requests after the provisional ranking (art. 17).
• 31 March 2027: enrolment at the university, or exclusion (art. 24).
• 10 August 2027 and 30 November 2027: the two credit checks for first-years (art. 20).

How and when is the ADSU Chieti-Pescara grant paid?

Bachelor's and single-cycle first-years receive 20% of the cash share by 10 November 2026, a further 30% by 31 December 2026 and the last 50% from July 2027 (art. 20). Two-year Master's first-years receive 50% by 31 December 2026 and 50% from July 2027. The final instalment requires 20 credits by 10 August 2027.

Students who become winners only in the December ranking receive two instalments of 50% instead (art. 20). Payment waits until enrolment, the income assessment and the IBAN are checked; the IBAN must be in the student's name, alone or jointly with a family member (art. 19, art. 20).

How many credits do you need to keep the ADSU Chieti-Pescara grant?

First-years need at least 20 CFU (university credits), recorded without bonus credits, by 10 August 2027 to receive the final instalment (art. 20). The rule is the same for Bachelor's, single-cycle and two-year Master's students. To apply again as a second-year in 2027/28, the bar is 25 credits for Bachelor's and 30 for Master's by that date (art. 11).

What happens if you miss the credits at ADSU Chieti-Pescara?

Missing 20 credits by 10 August 2027 loses the final instalment, but payments already made are kept if the credits come by 30 November 2027 (art. 20). Without 20 credits by 30 November 2027, the grant is revoked and the money received plus the cost of meals must be repaid within 30 days of the notice (art. 26).

Repayment is made through PagoPA, the Italian public payment system, and ADSU may allow instalments with interest; unpaid sums are recovered through legal channels (art. 26).

Can you get an ADSU Chieti-Pescara residence bed?

Yes. Grant winners may stay in an ADSU residence at no cost under a separate residence call, but ADSU keeps the 1,747.39 EUR housing share of the grant (art. 19). Students asking for a bed had to send the original family documents by 1 September 2026 (art. 7), well before the 13 November 2026 deadline that applies to everyone else.

A student who gives up an assigned bed keeps the fuori sede amount only with a registered lease uploaded by 15 September 2026 (art. 5). The residence call sets its own places and dates, and a place depends on the ranking, so we never promise one; we check the residence call for each student.

Documents from abroad for the ADSU Chieti-Pescara 2026/27 call

ADSU Chieti-Pescara asks for original documents, not self-declarations. They are issued by the authorities of the family's home country, legalised by the Italian embassy or apostilled for Hague Convention countries, translated into Italian, and sent by post or delivered by hand to ADSU in Chieti by 13 November 2026 (Bando 2026/27, art. 7).

• Family composition (art. 7, n. 1).
• Income: gross income earned abroad in 2025 by each family member (art. 7, n. 2).
• Property: real estate and buildings owned abroad by each member at 31 December 2025, with floor area in square metres (art. 7, n. 3).
• Financial assets: financial assets available abroad at 31 December 2025 (art. 7, n. 4).
• Rent: any rent paid for the family home (art. 7, n. 5).
• Legalisation: by the Italian diplomatic authorities (embassies), or by apostille for countries in the Hague Convention of 5 October 1961. Where such certificates are particularly hard to obtain, a certificate in Italian from the home country's representation in Italy, legalised by the Prefettura, is accepted instead (art. 7).
• Translation: into Italian, certified by the same authorities (art. 7).
• Where they go: originals by post or by hand to ADSU, Viale Unità d'Italia 32/a, 66100 Chieti, by 13 November 2026, or by 1 September 2026 for bed applicants (art. 7). Missing documents mean exclusion (art. 24).

Frequently asked questions about ADSU Chieti-Pescara

Does the lease have to be in my own name for ADSU Chieti-Pescara?

Yes. For a student whose family lives abroad, the paid lease must be in the student's own name, registered with the Agenzia delle Entrate, and cover at least 10 months, not counting August, between 1 October 2026 and 30 September 2027 (art. 5, art. 16.1). A loan-for-use contract (comodato) without rent only gives pendolare status (art. 5.2).

Is the whole ADSU Chieti-Pescara grant paid in cash?

No. In the first ISEE band a fuori sede student receives 5,135.44 EUR in cash, while the other 2,035.67 EUR is the value of two canteen meals a day, which cannot be turned into money (art. 19). Until the ranking is out, new applicants pay 2 EUR per meal up to 31 December 2026 (art. 30).

Is tuition covered at d'Annunzio University with the ADSU grant?

Study can be tuition-free for eligible students: winners and eligible students who are not funded are exempt from the university fee instalments after the first, and the first instalment, the 140 EUR regional tax, is refunded (Premessa, art. 21). For first-years the refund arrives by February 2028, after the credit check.

Can I apply to ADSU Chieti-Pescara if I already hold a degree?

Only for a higher level. A student who already holds a degree of the same or a higher level than the course applied for is excluded (art. 2.2). The year of first enrolment counts from the first enrolment anywhere, including abroad, and for a two-year Master's from the first year at Master's level (art. 10, art. 11).

Can the ADSU grant be combined with another scholarship?

No, apart from mobility grants for study abroad and university collaboration contracts. The grant cannot be held together with other 2026/27 scholarships from public or private bodies, and a student who does not choose between them loses the ADSU grant automatically (art. 23).

Do I need SPID to apply to ADSU Chieti-Pescara?

Not necessarily. Non-Italian citizens who cannot obtain an Italian digital identity register on the ADSU online desk with a codice fiscale (Italian tax code) and a password, then complete and confirm the form themselves (call guide, art. 4). An active personal email is also needed, as it is ADSU's main channel for communications.

What if the family documents arrive after the provisional ranking?

The documents are due by 13 November 2026, after the provisional ranking due by 31 October 2026, and the call does not say how later documents affect that ranking or the 10 November 2026 payment (arts. 7, 17, 20). To avoid that uncertainty, we aim to send the originals well before the ranking.
