The 2026/27 engineering admission call expressly covers this course, including B1 English and the additional CEnT test route. School qualification and competitive admission
Applicants need an upper-secondary diploma or a foreign qualification recognised as suitable for university entry. Students in the final or penultimate school year may take the test under the call, but the completed qualification is indispensable for enrolment. Applicants completing school in 2027 follow the 2027/28 admission process, not 2026/27 matriculation. [1]
The call’s provisional course-offer table lists 50 places for Management Engineering for Innovation. Final place allocations and category quotas are determined by subsequent university notices. The total capacity is not the number of places remaining in a later round. Admission depends on a useful ranking position within the relevant allocation. [1][4]
TOLC-I thresholds and ranking
The early-session threshold is 18/50. Standard and extraordinary sessions require at least 12/50. A score meeting the threshold still needs a qualifying ranking position. The best eligible score is used where multiple tests are taken; tied scores favour the younger candidate under Article 9. [1]
Poliba delivers its TOLC-I sessions from home. It also recognises eligible TOLC-I results from other universities, including at-home and university formats. Registering with CISIA and taking the test does not by itself register you for Poliba’s admission competition: the matching Esse3 competition registration is also required. [1]
For tests taken elsewhere, we send the official CISIA PDF result through the designated university helpdesk category by the round’s deadline. The extraordinary-session external-result deadline in Article 6 is 20 November 2026. Older results must fall within the call’s permitted date range for the chosen session. [1]
CEnT alternative for this programme
The call accepts CEnT specifically for Management Engineering for Innovation. We submit the official result to Poliba’s helpdesk within the applicable result-submission deadline; Poliba converts it to a score out of 50 for comparison with TOLC-I. A raw score out of 55 does not compare directly with the 12/50 or 18/50 thresholds. [1][2]
The university CEnT guide describes 55 multiple-choice questions in five timed sections over 110 minutes. Its normalized result becomes available at the end of the relevant macro-period, with the September-October period’s result expected by 30 October. One sitting per macro-period is allowed. English B1 evidence at enrolment
Article 2.1 requires an English certificate at least at B1 when enrolling. It lists, among other accepted examples, Cambridge PET, Trinity ISE I, and IELTS 4.5-5.5 as its B1 evidence. It also lists legacy certificate and TOEFL formats; we use the exact accepted format, as the call gives no converted TOEFL iBT minimum. [1]
Without recognised certification, the candidate must pass the relevant assessment at a recognised certifying body or Poliba’s Language Centre. The CEnT admission-test option does not explicitly waive the separately stated B1 requirement. We prepare evidence for both admission and language verification. [1]
OFA for lower admitted scores
Students admitted in standard or extraordinary TOLC-I rounds with 12-17.75/50 receive additional learning obligations, OFA. The June 2026 guidance assigns mathematics where the mathematics score is below 10 or logic below 5; otherwise it assigns physics. [1][3]
The mathematics obligation can be cleared through the designated remedial course and final assessment, or the specified Mathematical Analysis Module 1 or Geometry exam. Physics can be cleared through its remedial assessment or the specified General Physics Module 1, Informatics or Chemistry exam. Completion is due by 30 September 2027. If it remains outstanding, later-year enrolment is possible but credits from second- and third-year units are blocked until completion. For converted CEnT scores, the university’s actual OFA assignment applies, because the guidance expresses its subsection criteria in TOLC-I terms. [3]
2026/27 dates, documents and final enrolment
The call schedules second-standard-round enrolment for admitted candidates from 7 to 12 October 2026, ending at 14:00 Italian daylight-saving time. The extraordinary competition is scheduled from 15 October to 13 November 2026 at 14:00 Italian standard time, only if places remain. Its TOLC-I must be completed by 18 November; ranking publication is scheduled by 23 November and admitted enrolment for 24-27 November, ending at 14:00. We confirm activation and available places in the university’s current notice. [1][4]
For matriculation, Article 12 requires a photograph, identity-document PDF, diploma declaration and completion of the Esse3 enrolment and payment stages by the deadline. Foreign qualifications are assessed by the university’s admissions office; we prepare the recognition documents requested for your case. Visa applicants must also complete the applicable Universitaly and diplomatic procedure. [1][4]

About the programme
Management Engineering for Innovation is a three-year laurea in class L-9 (industrial engineering), run by the Department of Mechanics, Mathematics and Management of the Politecnico di Bari. It carries 180 ECTS and is taught in English, with structured international mobility: Poliba delivers it together with Poznan University of Technology (PUT) in Poland and the Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt (THWS) in Germany.
The degree trains management engineers who design, plan and manage innovation in industrial systems, production processes and organisations, using analytical tools and methods based on artificial intelligence. What you will study
The first year, common to both paths and taught in Bari, covers maths, computing, physics and chemistry with an introduction to economics, machine learning and technical English. How the programme is taught
Mobility is compulsory. Semesters one, two, four and five take place in Bari; semesters three and six are spent at PUT or THWS. You state your preferred partner in October of the first year, and places are assigned by admission test score. The PUT path ends with an internship with a company or an internal lab project, while the THWS path includes a company internship. Completing 210 ECTS under the partner agreements can lead to a double degree.

Fees and scholarships
Poliba sets the annual contribution by ISEE family income under its 2026/27 fee regulation. First-year students with an ISEE up to €26,000 pay no contribution, and the ceiling for on-time students is €2,257.60. Students from abroad document family income through legalised consular statements. ADISU Puglia scholarship winners are fully exempt, so this bachelor's can be tuition-free for eligible students.

Admission is competitive: 50 places in 2026/27, 3 of them reserved for non-EU applicants living abroad. You sit the TOLC-I online from home (fee €35 for 2026/27) or submit a CEnT score, and we then register you for the matching admission session on Poliba's Esse3 portal. For 2026/27 the early sessions ran from February to June 2026, and Poliba will publish 2027/28 instructions in February 2027.
