At Roma Tre University the yearly contribution follows the family ISEE, or the ISEE parificato for income abroad, and study can be tuition-free for eligible students with a DiSCo Lazio scholarship.
Tuition follows family income (ISEE). An ISEE up to €23,000 falls in the no-tax area, families with income abroad file an ISEE parificato, and DiSCo Lazio scholarship winners and eligible students are exempt from tuition.
The regulation applies from 2025/26, was updated in January 2026 and adds bands 76 to 88, for an ISEE above €88,000, from 2026/27. First-year students file the ISEE within 60 days of enrolment, and a late ISEE adds a penalty. Without an ISEE, the top band applies (Article 35).

Roma Tre sets the fee of families with income abroad by the ISEE parificato (Article 32 of the regulation), and its agreement with CAF CISL offers that service at no cost. The regulation sets no flat fee by country. Source: Roma Tre, ISEE declaration page.
Worked example: With a family ISEE parificato of €15,000, a first-year master's student from India is inside the no-tax area for 2026/27, which runs to an ISEE of €23,000. Without an ISEE parificato, the top band applies. Non-EU students living abroad apply to Roma Tre University by pre-enrolling on Universitaly for one programme and uploading the same documents to GOMP, the student account. Master's departments then evaluate each foreign degree; the windows below are the 2026/27 ones, and the 2027/28 calls are not published yet. The university decides admission, and the consulate decides the visa.

Yes, most do. Among Roma Tre's master's graduates of 2024, 79.9% were in work about a year later, with mean net pay of €1,398 (₹1.5 lakh) a month, according to AlmaLaurea. Five years after graduating, 93.4% of the 2020 master's graduates were in work, earning €1,842 (₹2.0 lakh) a month on average.

Roma Tre students apply for the regional DSU scholarship through DiSCo Lazio. For 2026/27 the family ISEE limit is €28,339.88 (₹31.1 lakh), and the top grant away from home is €7,556.78 (₹8.3 lakh). Winners and eligible students pay no contribution and no regional tax, so study can be tuition-free for eligible students.

Roma Tre's own merit exemptions need an Italian school diploma of 95/100 or more, or a high-graded Italian degree. They also need a family ISEE up to €80,000 (partial exemptions and full exemptions). For students from countries like India, the DiSCo Lazio scholarship is the main award, and we prepare it with you.

For the study visa, the consulate asks you to show at least €10,179.85 (₹11.2 lakh) a year for living costs in Rome or any other Italian city. That is a floor, not a full budget: rent is the biggest cost, and a DSU residence place is much cheaper than a private room.
