Business Management is a three-year, 180 ECTS bachelor's degree (class L-18) taught entirely in English at the University of Teramo, with open access and a strong data analysis strand. Non-EU fees are a small flat rate set by country income group, and the degree can be tuition-free for eligible students.

About the programme
Business Management is a three-year bachelor's degree (laurea, class L-18, economics and business management) worth 180 ECTS and run by the Department of Political Science of the University of Teramo. It is taught entirely in English at Campus Aurelio Saliceti in Teramo, and access is open, so places are not capped. The aim is to train managers who pair business judgement with solid quantitative skills and can work in data-driven, international settings.
It suits school leavers who enjoy numbers as much as business ideas and want to work in private companies, consulting firms, the public sector or international organisations. It is one of four degrees the university teaches fully in English.
What you will study
The first year is shared by all students and lays the groundwork in accounting, economics, statistics and maths. From the second year you build up business strategy, data science, law and marketing. Units in the 2026/27 study plan include:
- Business economics and principles of accounting (12 ECTS) and Corporate reporting and accountability (12 ECTS)
- Economics I and II, including foundations of economics and the history of economic thought
- Fundamental and applied statistics, and Mathematics for business and finance
- Business information systems and Data science for economics and business (12 ECTS)
- Business strategy and management, and Marketing
- Public and EU economic law, EU private law for business, and Economic policy
- An AI for business laboratory, a language lab, two optional units and a final thesis
How the programme is taught
Teaching is in person in Teramo. The third year adds short practical labs on AI for business and languages, and the degree closes with a final thesis worth 6 ECTS. Applicants with certified prior learning or relevant work experience can ask for credit recognition, which the course assesses from their documents.
Career paths
The department prepares graduates for roles in industry, commerce, services, public bodies and consulting, built around five professional profiles:
- Business and entrepreneurship specialist, supporting business plans, operations and start-ups
- Marketing and business strategy specialist
- Administration and accounting specialist
- Business data analyst
- International trade specialist, handling import and export operations
Graduates can continue to a master's in economics or business. In Italy, L-18 graduates who complete the required traineeship can also sit the state exam to register as an accounting expert (esperto contabile).
Fees and scholarships
Teramo does not use an Italian ISEE for students whose family income and assets are all abroad. Instead, the 2026/27 rules set a flat yearly contribution by World Bank group: €50 for low-income countries, €300 for middle-income countries (a group that includes countries like India) and €600 for high-income countries, plus €140 regional tax and €16 stamp duty. ADSU Teramo offers income-based grants, so this degree can be tuition-free for eligible students.

You can first ask the course for a pre-evaluation by emailing your diploma and passport page to businessmanagement@unite.it. Non-EU applicants living abroad then submit the Universitaly pre-enrolment and, once the University of Teramo validates it, apply for a type D study visa at the Italian embassy or consulate.
For 2026/27 the Universitaly and visa window ran from April to 30 November 2026, and enrolment on the UniTE online secretariat from 1 July to 5 November 2026. The 2027/28 dates are not out yet.
