You need at least a three-year undergraduate degree, or equivalent, in accounting, finance or a related field, with proven academic skills in four areas: [1]
- Accounting: for example financial accounting, management accounting, auditing and control.
- Finance: for example corporate finance, financial management, banking and business planning.
- Management: for example organisational behaviour, strategy and marketing.
- Economics and quantitative subjects: for example microeconomics, macroeconomics, statistics and econometrics.
Only skills gained in an undergraduate degree that meets these requirements count. The portal does not set credit counts for each area. [1]
The 2027/28 country rules for master's degrees add these conditions: [2]
- India: a three or four-year Honours bachelor's, a four to five-and-a-half-year professional bachelor's, or a three-year pass or general bachelor's plus a postgraduate bachelor's or at least a one-year master's. Minimum grade 70/100, 7.0/10, 5.6/8 or 2.8/4.
- Pakistan: a three-year Honours bachelor's, a four or five-year professional bachelor's, or a two-year pass bachelor's plus a two-year master's (or the listed LL.B. and B.Ed. combinations). Minimum GPA 3.3/4.0.
- Bangladesh: a four-year Honours bachelor's or a four or five-year professional bachelor's. Minimum GPA 3.3/4.0.
- Sri Lanka: a four-year bachelor's or a Special Degree. Minimum GPA 3.0/4.0.
- UK: a Bachelor Honours degree.

- Usually a fit: a B.Com (Hons) or BBA (Hons) with accounting, finance, management and economics papers, or a four-year business degree, with marks at or above the grade floor (70/100 or 7.0/10 for India).
- Check carefully: a three-year B.Com, BBA or BA awarded as a pass or general degree needs a postgraduate bachelor's or at least a one-year master's, such as an M.Com, on top. A BA or B.Sc. in Economics may cover economics and statistics but lack accounting and finance papers.
- Often short: a B.Tech, B.E., BCA or B.Sc. in a science subject usually lacks the accounting and finance areas, and skills from courses outside a qualifying degree do not count.
English
English at CEFR level B2 or higher. A C1 certificate is a preferential element, and the Academic Committee considers it only if you upload it before the application date. [1]
- B2: IELTS Academic or General Training 6.0, TOEFL iBT 86 (tests until 20 January 2026) or 4.5 (from 21 January 2026), Cambridge B2 First 173, PTE Academic 65 or Duolingo English Test 115.
- C1: IELTS 7.0, TOEFL iBT 95 (tests until 20 January 2026) or 5 (from 21 January 2026), a score of 180 on Cambridge B2 First, PTE Academic 76 or Duolingo English Test 135.
Other accepted tests include Trinity ISE, Oxford Test of English, LanguageCert, British Council Aptis, Pearson International Certificate and Gatehouse. You do not need a certificate if you are a native speaker from a listed English-speaking country, or if your previous degree was taught entirely in English in one of those countries or in the EU or Schengen area. Degrees from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka are not on the exemption list. [3]

There is no entrance test. The Academic Committee reviews your application, and the portal does not publish a scoring scale. [1]
- A CV, motivation letter and letters of reference are favourably considered.
- GMAT or GRE is strongly encouraged but not mandatory. High scores are a preferential element and count only if you took the test before the application date. Unofficial GMAT scores are accepted at first, and a GRE report must show your full name and both the Verbal and Quantitative sections.
- The committee may ask for an online interview whenever necessary.

About the programme
Accounting, Finance and Business Consulting is the English-taught version of Consulenza e direzione aziendale, a two-year, 120 ECTS master's degree in class LM-77-R (Economics and Business Sciences). It is run in Padua by the Department of Economics and Management, within the School of Economics and Political Science, and has open admission with requirements. The English version is taught entirely in English, and an Italian version of the degree runs alongside it.
The degree trains the next generation of accounting professionals, controllers, financial analysts and bankers, able to solve complex business problems and support strategic decisions. It combines business economics, law and quantitative methods, and suits graduates in accounting, finance or business who want roles in administration and finance.

How the programme is taught
Each curriculum includes lab work, electives, an internship and a thesis. Other units on the portal cover advanced international tax law, financial mathematics and statistics, bank accounting, econometrics for credit and market risk, computational finance and asset management, and personal finance.
Students can also compete for a double degree. For 2026/27 the department offered 11 places to first-year students of this master: 1 at Fudan University in China and 10 at Baruch College, City University of New York, with selection on study results and an interview in English. [4]

The School of Economics and Political Science is in fee Group A. Winners of the Veneto regional scholarship are exempt from the fee, so this programme can be tuition-free for eligible students.
