Transnational and European Legal Studies is a three-year bachelor's degree (laurea, class L-14, legal services) worth 180 ECTS. The Department of Law of the University of Messina teaches it entirely in English, with open access, on its Messina campus.

What you will study
The programme has around 20 exams in law, IT and economics, with legal English from the first year. Year one lays the foundations, year two turns to international and European law, and year three focuses on justice, administration and business law, with a 10 ECTS final examination.

How the programme is taught
Workshops and practical activities run through the three years, and the plan includes an 8 ECTS professional internship. Students can apply for Erasmus+ study and traineeship mobility and for the university's Students Around the World scholarship for exchanges outside Europe.
Career paths
The department trains legal operators with European and transnational competences for public, private and non-profit settings. Graduates can also go on to a master's degree. The roles it names include:
