Bachelor in Psychological Science at University of Padua

About the programme

Psychological Science is a three-year, 180 ECTS bachelor's degree in class L-24-R (psychological sciences and techniques), delivered entirely in English by the School of Psychology in Padua and managed by the Department of General Psychology. Enrolment is limited: for 2027/28 there are 45 places for non-EU candidates living outside Italy.

The degree gives basic knowledge of all the main areas of psychology (general, social and dynamic) together with research methods. Theoretical study and experimental and clinical activities carry equal weight, and seminars and workshops build strong foundations in brain and behaviour, developmental psychology, social psychology and communication, clinical psychology and health psychology. It suits school leavers who want an international start in psychology.

What you will study

The first year lays the foundations, including Academic English and Philosophy of Science. The second year moves to statistics, individual differences and applied fields, and the third year introduces clinical health psychology. Units in the 2027/28 plan include:

Career paths

The university says graduates work in public or private bodies, in education, and in third-sector enterprises and organisations. Under the supervision of a professional psychologist, they can work in services that care for individuals, groups, organisations and communities to promote health. Areas it names include:

Fees and scholarships

School of Psychology degrees are in fee Group B. For 2026/27, non-EU students whose household lives outside Italy pay a fixed €2,990 a year, or €996.66 if they are citizens of a country on the ministry's list of particularly poor countries. The ISEE parificato only lowers the regional tax. Regional scholarship winners are exempt, which means zero euro tuition for eligible students, and applicants living abroad are automatically considered for merit scholarships and full fee waivers. How to apply from outside the EU

Places are assigned through a ranking list, and the degree requires an online entry test in English; the university says further details will follow. Non-EU candidates living outside Italy apply on apply.unipd.it from 7 January to 7 March 2027 (23:59 Central European Time), with the €60 application fee.

If you are admitted, you pay a €208 non-refundable deposit, complete Universitaly pre-enrolment and apply for a type D study visa. For limited-access degrees, your school diploma must be legalised, apostilled or verified by CIMEA by 31 July.
