The call accepts L-27 Chemical Sciences/Technologies, LM-13 Pharmacy/Industrial Pharmacy, L-Sc. Mat. Materials Science, L-2 Biotechnology, L-9 Industrial Engineering and L-30 Physical Sciences/Technologies. The named-degree route and the alternative subject-credit route are separate. Suitable foreign awards must allow comparable postgraduate study and be evaluated for correspondence. This is an academic master’s programme, distinct from the separate Battery Ecodesign professional master. [1, 2]
Alternative: 60 eligible credits with two 18-credit minima
For another degree field, at least 60 ECTS must be in the listed chemical, physical or mathematical disciplines, including at least 18 chemistry and at least 18 physics/mathematics. The 18+18 conditions are subsets of the 60 total, not 36 credits added on top of it. The chemistry group lists CHEM-01/A and /B, CHEM-02/A, CHEM-03/A, CHEM-04/A, CHEM-05/A, CHEM-06/A, CHEM-07/A, /B and /C and CHEM-08/A, corresponding to the listed former CHIM sectors. [1]
The physical/mathematical group includes PHYS-01/A, PHYS-02/A, PHYS-03/A, PHYS-04/A, PHYS-05/A, PHYS-05/B and PHYS-06/A, plus MATH-01/A and /B, MATH-02/A and /B, MATH-03/A and /B, MATH-04/A, MATH-05/A and MATH-06/A. The call’s physical list ends at PHYS-06/A, so an unlisted sector does not count just because it belongs to a general physics degree. The committee evaluates foreign equivalents from the academic record. Section 4.2 says missing curricular requirements prevent registration. [1]
Pending graduation: 80% completed
A not-yet-graduated candidate can apply after earning at least 80% of the credits required by the bachelor’s study plan. This is the completed-credit condition, not a minimum GPA. 100/110 or 25/30: attestation rather than universal cutoffs
For a graduate who meets the curricular requirements, a final grade of at least 100/110 attests preparation. For a pending-degree candidate with at least 80% credits, a weighted average of at least 25/30 does so. Applicants below those grade thresholds may still be assessed through the complete CV/academic record, degree relevance, individual marks, course relevance and relevant knowledge/experience. The committee can admit if preparation is adequate or request a deeper online interview. [1]
These grade thresholds do not permit self-conversion of a foreign GPA or dispense with English/curricular clearance. A later assessment paragraph mentions candidates without curricular requirements, while section 4.2 expressly prohibits registration without them. A preparation interview does not waive a missing credit condition, and we confirm with the committee which rule applies to your file. English B2, specific scores and rejected MOI
Accepted examples in the call are IELTS 5.5, Cambridge First or TOEFL iBT 80, appropriate B2 evidence from university/accredited language centres, a transcript containing an explicitly B2 English examination, or the CLA Oxford test. Native English speakers are exempt, as are candidates whose prior first-cycle course was in English in a country whose first official language is English. [1]
The compulsory-document section expressly rejects medium-of-instruction certificates. A generic English-medium letter is not a waiver on its own, whatever country the degree is from. The narrowly worded native/official-language-country exemption is separate from accepting every MOI certificate. English evidence is needed at application, not automatically after enrolment. [1]
Mandatory application file and submission channel
We apply in Studenti Online using SPID/CIE or the international-registration credentials, select the exact programme and upload valid identity/passport evidence, the qualifying award or pending-degree examination record, the complete transcript and Diploma Supplement if available for foreign degrees, English evidence and CV. Foreign academic documents must be translated into Italian or English. Use the appropriate Bologna-generated or other-Italian-university self-declaration for Italian records. [1]

Missing or partially uploaded compulsory documents by the deadline prevent consideration; emailing documents to the office is not a substitute. Additional grade declaration and closed intakes

Intake 1, for EU/non-EU applicants, ran 21 April-26 June 2026, closing 23:59, with possible interviews 2-7 July and results by 14 July. Intake 2 was labelled EU-only, ran 29 June-27 August at 23:59, with possible interviews 7-10 September and results by 11 September. Both application windows are closed as of 6 October. [1]
Final enrolment, foreign records and visa route
For admitted applicants, ordinary matriculation ends 29 October 2026, with late registration through 19 November on payment of the applicable late fee. After admission, complete registration in Studenti Online, supply the identity photograph, pay the first instalment through PagoPA and complete identification/career activation. Applicants admitted pending graduation must obtain the degree by 31 December 2026 or registration is cancelled. [1]
Foreign records require the applicable translation and authenticity/value checks, document upload under the 2026/27 international matriculation call and presentation of originals to the relevant International Student Administration Office. Non-EU applicants abroad needing a visa must also complete Universitaly pre-enrolment, study-visa and immigration steps. Academic clearance and a late registration date do not extend a closed visa selection. Transfers and simultaneous enrolments require the specified additional procedure; scholarships have their own applications and eligibility. [1]
