Entry requirements

How the programme is taught
A 150-hour internship worth 6 ECTS is compulsory, and the master's thesis carries 12 ECTS. You also choose 9 ECTS of free electives from across the university and complete 3 ECTS of technical skills activities. Study periods abroad through learning agreements are possible, and the thesis can be prepared abroad; credits earned abroad add a small bonus to the final grade. The regulation notes that a double degree with a Lithuanian university is under approval.

Fees and scholarships
Under the 2026/27 call for non-EU applicants living abroad, the whole year cost €306: €150 of university contribution, €140 of regional tax and €16 of stamp duty. A university scholarship of €2,000 a year for two years went to the top five in each ranking. ERSU Catania awards regional scholarships on merit and family income, so the programme can be tuition-free for eligible students.
How to apply from outside the EU
Catania runs one call for non-EU applicants to its English-taught master's. On the Smartedu portal you pay €10 and upload your degree certificate, transcript, course syllabus, European-format CV, reference letter, statement of purpose and English certificate. The board awards up to 100 points and needs 50 to declare you suitable. For 2026/27 the call was open from 10 February to 17 March 2026.
Admitted candidates pay €75 to confirm, pre-enrol on Universitaly and apply for a type D study visa.
