About the programme

Management and Economics is a three-year laurea (first-cycle degree) in class L-18 R, Business administration, run by the Department of Management (DiSA) on the University of Bologna's Forlì campus. It is worth 180 ECTS, is delivered entirely in English and has restricted access. Franco Visani is the degree programme director.

Under the heading "understanding international markets and strategies", the degree offers tools, methods and quantitative analyses to help companies and organisations compete on global markets. It suits school leavers who want an international business education with a quantitative side, taught in English from the first day.

What you will study

The programme combines management and economics with quantitative analysis, applied to firms and organisations that compete internationally. The course units, credits and teaching periods for each year are published in the course structure diagram on the degree website, next to the timetable, exam dates and faculty list. Check the 2027/28 diagram before you apply, since units can change between intakes.

For 2026/27 the degree ran a mathematics support course for students admitted with an additional learning requirement (OFA), and DiSA publishes an OFA course on the university's BOOK e-learning platform.

How the programme is taught

The degree belongs to the university's international offer and has a double or multiple degree option, in which selected students also earn a degree from a partner university. The partners and the selection rules are set out on the degree website, and Erasmus+ and other exchange schemes are open to students as well.

Career paths

The degree prepares graduates to support companies and organisations that compete on global markets, using management tools and quantitative analysis. Graduates can also continue to a laurea magistrale: DiSA itself runs English-taught master's degrees such as Business Administration and Sustainability in Forlì and Service Management in Rimini. The university's job placement office lists internships and vacancies.

Fees and scholarships

For 2026/27 every student pays a fixed €157.04 for regional tax, stamp duty and insurance. On top of that the contribution follows family income: with an ISEE up to €27,000 nothing more is due, which means zero euro tuition for eligible students, and the standard maximum for first-cycle degrees is €2,040 a year. Non-OECD citizens whose family income is only abroad, from countries like India, can opt for a reduced flat fee of €1,000 plus €157.04. ER.GO scholarship winners pay only €157.04.

How to apply from outside the EU

Places are filled through the yearly admission call, which sets the admission test, ranking rules, number of places and deadlines; the 2027/28 call is not yet published. You take part in the selection and then enrol on Studenti Online, paying the first instalment.

If you need a visa, file the Universitaly pre-enrolment. The consulate needs the university's unconditional validation, which is not given during the August closure, and proof of means of at least €10,179.85 (2026). Your school qualification must come with translations and legalisation where required, and you apply for a residence permit within eight days of arrival.
