School qualification and open-access admission
An upper-secondary diploma or a foreign qualification recognised as suitable is required. The university checks foreign-document suitability separately; a test result or English certificate alone does not establish that the school qualification meets the entry conditions. This is first-cycle admission, so master’s degree-credit or grade thresholds do not apply. [1][4]
English B2, certificates and exemptions
Article 6 requires B2 English evidenced by an accepted certificate or a university Language Centre assessment. It exempts applicants with a qualification from a programme taught entirely in English, those who completed an English-taught Foundation Year, and native English speakers from the listed countries, subject to the International Students Admissions Office’s verification. The listed native-speaker countries are Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Canada, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Ireland, Jamaica, Malta, New Zealand, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, the United Kingdom and the United States. The regulation’s condition is being a native English speaker, not citizenship alone. [1]
The department’s recognised-certificate table, linked by the course page, includes Cambridge FCE, BEC Vantage, Trinity ISE II, LanguageCert B2 Communicator, IELTS from 5.5, and TOEFL iBT from 72, among other formats. CEnT-S mathematics assessment and threshold
The course requires the CEnT-S Mathematics section. The university test page describes 15 mathematics questions over 30 minutes within the wider CISIA test. Reasoning on texts and data is optional and does not count for this degree’s enrolment; its instructions say Biology, Chemistry and Physics sections are not to be completed. [1][2]
The published mathematics threshold is a normalized score of at least 11. A raw result must not be treated as the normalized score. A result below 11, or not taking the assessment, leads to Mathematics ALR/OFA under the programme rules, while enrolment and class attendance remain possible if the other requirements are satisfied. Mathematics obligations and progression
The course regulation requires assigned Mathematics ALR/OFA to be cleared and permits the council to restrict specific examinations until completion. The central enrolment page identifies first-year economics/political-economy, computing, mathematics and statistics exams as restricted while the obligation remains outstanding. Foreign students without Italian at B1 or higher must include the 6-CFU Italian Language for Foreigners course in their study plan under Article 9. This study-plan requirement is separate from B2 English at entry; it is not an Italian B1 certificate needed before admission. [1]

The central 2026/27 page gives an enrolment period of 13 July to 17 December 2026 and describes portal registration, the online application and final Student Administration checks. About the programme
Business and Economics is a three-year bachelor's degree of 180 ECTS in class L-18, Economic and Business Management Science, run by the Department of Economics and Management of the University of Brescia. It is taught in person and in English in Brescia, and access is open, with a non-selective maths test.
The degree prepares people to manage companies that operate in international markets, whatever their size or sector: manufacturing, trade or services. It suits school leavers who want a broad business education in English and are interested in how firms enter and compete in foreign markets.
What you will study
The plan gives similar weight to four areas: business, economics, law and quantitative subjects. Business courses cover accounting, management control, strategy, organisation and marketing, while law courses place the firm in national, European and international rules. Compulsory course units in the 2026/27 cohort plan include:

How the programme is taught
Practical work carries real weight: workshops, internships and the final thesis together account for 10 of the 180 credits. In the third year you choose one option such as an internship, a coding lab, a data visualisation lab, a sustainability reporting lab or courses in operations research and quantitative finance. The first year also includes a second foreign language, French, German or Spanish, or Italian for students who do not yet have it at B1 level.
Electives in the second and third years add between 6 and 12 credits each year. Several of the electives listed in the plan carry Italian titles, so we check the teaching language before you choose. The degree ends with a 4 ECTS Final Project, a written report in English that can build on an internship, a training project or a topic from your courses, and can be prepared in Italy or abroad.
Career paths
Graduates start as junior managers in one area of a business, either on staff or as external consultants, supporting more experienced professionals. The official profile lists these functions:

They work across all sectors, especially in companies that sell to, buy from or produce in foreign markets. Other routes include roles in a family business, starting a venture, or training towards the certified accountant and auditor professions after the required internship and state exam.
Fees and scholarships
UniBS sets fees for students with a study visa by country of origin and degree. In the 2026/27 table, students from lower-middle income countries pay a flat €1,000 a year, including regional tax and stamp duty, and can apply for a reduction with an ISEE parificato. The regional DSU scholarship is managed by UniBS itself and eligible students can apply each year, so this programme can be tuition-free for eligible students.

Non-EU applicants living abroad can enrol only if places are reserved for them, so we check the admissions page first. We then register you on the UniBS student portal, which for 2026/27 opened in March 2026; you sit the CEnT-S, and we pre-enrol you on Universitaly to request your study visa (for 2026/27 the visa application was due by 31 August 2026).
After arriving, you submit your legalised school diploma and transcript with a declaration of value, or the CIMEA statements of verification and comparability. The 2027/28 calendar is not published yet.
