The ApplyAZ Code of Practice

The ApplyAZ Code of Practice is the list of promises we make to every student we work with. It exists because many students have good reasons to distrust study abroad agents. Each commitment below is specific enough for you to check, and you can hold us to it.

What is the ApplyAZ Code of Practice?

The ApplyAZ Code of Practice sets out ten commitments on how we advise students, prepare applications, charge fees and use personal data. They apply to every student, from the first eligibility check to the visa file. If we break one, you can report it to info@applyaz.com.

We wrote them as promises we can keep, not as marketing. That is why none of them mentions results. Admission, scholarships and visas are decided by others, and a code of practice should only cover what we control.

What are the ten ApplyAZ commitments?

The ten commitments cover who we work with, who pays us, who we take on and how honest our advice is. They also cover where our facts come from and what we will not promise. The rest cover your control over applications, who handles your file, fees, refunds and your data.

1. We work only with Italian public universities. Every programme we suggest is at a public university. We do not steer students towards private institutions.
2. We take no commission from any university. ApplyAZ is paid only by the student. No university pays us for sending a student, so our advice is not tied to where you enrol.
3. We check eligibility before anything else. Every student starts with the free eligibility check. If you are not eligible for Italian public universities, we do not take you on or collect your phone number or email.
4. We give honest verdicts. If your profile is weak for a programme, we say so. If applying alone or through a free route would serve you better, we tell you, even though you then do not pay us.
5. Every fact comes from an official source, with its date. For every deadline, requirement or scholarship rule we mention, we show you the official source and the date we checked it.
6. We never promise admission, a scholarship or a visa. The university decides admission, the region decides the scholarship and the consulate decides the visa. We prepare your file so each of them sees your strongest case.
7. You see and approve every application before it is submitted. Nothing goes to a university, the Universitaly portal or a scholarship office in your name without your approval.
8. A named person handles each stage. You always know who is responsible for your shortlist, your documents, your applications, your scholarship file and your visa file.
9. Fees are paid in milestones tied to delivered work. You pay as work is delivered, not everything upfront. If you stop, refunds are matched to the work actually delivered.
10. Your data is used only to process your applications. We use the documents and details you share with us to prepare and submit your applications, and for nothing else.

Why does ApplyAZ publish a code of practice?

We publish it because students are right to be careful with agents. Most study abroad agents are paid by private universities for each student they send, and that payment can shape the advice. A written code lets you compare what we promise with what we actually do, at every stage of your file.

What does ApplyAZ not promise?

ApplyAZ does not promise admission, a scholarship or a visa, and no honest adviser can. The university decides admission, the region decides the scholarship and the consulate decides the visa. What we promise is a complete and accurate file, which you have checked and approved before it goes anywhere.

The same care applies to money. We describe tuition as zero euro tuition for eligible students, because it depends on your family income and each region's rules. We tell you where you stand once we know your file, and not before.

What happens after the eligibility check?

If you are eligible, you can book a private consultation with a specialist. The price depends on your country and is shown before you book, and parents or friends can join. Only after the consultation do you receive your personalised Italy Roadmap, which sets out every step and when to do it.

If you decide to proceed, we build a shortlist of about 20 to 30 English-taught programmes at public universities. We then prepare your CV, a tailored statement of purpose, your applications and Universitaly pre-enrolment, your DSU scholarship application and your visa file. How do I report a problem?

Email info@applyaz.com. Tell us your name, the stage your file has reached and which commitment you believe we did not keep. There is no phone line, so email is the one channel. It also gives both of us a written record of what was raised and when.

Include any emails or documents that show the problem. The more specific you are, the easier it is for the right person to check it.

How can I check that ApplyAZ keeps these promises?

You can check most of them yourself as your file moves forward. Ask for the official source behind any fact we give you. Confirm that you approved each application before it was submitted. Check that each stage has a named person, and that each payment matches a milestone of delivered work.

The full service is quoted after the consultation, once a specialist knows your file. If you stop, refunds are matched to the work actually delivered.

How do I report a problem with ApplyAZ?
